Canoeing kayaking | The Ardèche descent

An iconic activity in the region, canoeing and kayaking down the Ardèche offers spectacular scenery between cliffs and river.

Several routes are available depending on your level: upstream from the campsite, 7 to 12 km descents from Balazuc or nearby let you arrive right by the campsite. Downstream, from Vallon-Pont-d’Arc, discover the must-do routes passing under the famous Pont d’Arc, with distances ranging from 8 to over 30 km for the more sporty.

The campsite works with several local partners to offer you different packages to suit everyone.

Many waymarked trails let you explore the Ardèche Gorges and the landscapes of the Cirque de Gens, with options for all levels.

Mountain biking · Cycling

The Via Ardèche, just 200 metres from the campsite, offers an ideal route for bike rides. Mountain biking and hill circuits are also accessible from Pradons and Ruoms.” Bike hire just a stone’s throw from the campsite.

Horse riding

Horse or pony rides through Ardèche’s wild landscapes and along the river. Several riding centres are located near the campsite.

Swimming · Fishing

Enjoy swimming directly in the river at the foot of the campsite. Fishing is also possible on the Ardèche (permit required, available to buy in local shops, especially in Ruoms).

Climbing

The Cirque de Gens, just a few minutes’ walk from the campsite, is a renowned climbing spot in Ardèche. Suitable for all levels, it offers a variety of routes in an exceptional natural setting, visible directly from the campsite.

For thrill-seekers, several via ferrata, canyoning and caving sites are accessible around Vallon-Pont-d’Arc and the surrounding area, with professional guides.
