Ruoms | The village just a stone’s throw from the campsite
Just a few minutes from the campsite, Ruoms is the closest village. A former fortified medieval town, it has kept its ramparts, towers and lively streets. On Friday mornings, its large Provençal market draws visitors and locals alike. In summer, a night market brings the village centre to life on Wednesday evenings. Ruoms is also an ideal starting point for activities: canoeing, climbing, hiking and exploring Ardèche.

Labeaume | Troglodyte village and hanging gardens
10 minutes from the campsite, Labeaume is a unique characterful village, nestled in the heart of the Ardèche River. Its rock-carved lanes, hanging gardens and natural beaches make it a must-see. In summer, the Thursday night market and cultural events create a particularly pleasant atmosphere.

Balazuc | One of France’s Most Beautiful Villages
Listed among France’s most beautiful villages, Balazuc overlooks the Ardèche River from a cliff. Its cobbled lanes, vaulted passageways and stone houses offer a typical, authentic setting. Down below, the river is perfect for swimming. Just minutes from the campsite, Balazuc can also be reached by bike via the Via Ardèche.

Vallon-Pont-d’Arc | Gateway to the Gorges
Vallon-Pont-d’Arc is the gateway to the Ardèche Gorges and the starting point for canoe trips. The village takes its name from the famous Pont d’Arc, an iconic natural arch in the region. The old town, weekly markets and summer atmosphere make it a must-see. Nearby, Chauvet Cave 2 offers a unique journey into prehistory.

15 minutes away
Vogüé | The village at the foot of the château
Also listed among France’s most beautiful villages, Vogüé charms visitors with its medieval château backed against the cliff and its riverside stone houses. The village has a peaceful atmosphere, ideal for strolling and exploring. In summer, a producers’ market livens up evenings at the foot of the château.
